I've had to pull a few late ones due to last minute changes to development of some Avengers toys I have been working on throughout this year.Contractually I am not allowed show any of this work just yet , but I will post something (hopefully the actual products) later this year after the movie is released. This year everything will be about the Avengers.
A busy start to 2012! a number of character development jobs, boards games and an alcohol awareness campaign. Last time I worked on an alcohol awareness campaign was 2006, with Vin Burnham.
I can't display any of the current work on this blog but here is some of the concept art that formed the costume for the character in the clip above.
I am now in possession of this little beauty. This is one the comic books that started it all for me when I was a kid. This one along with batman#90 and Kirby's Xmen and Thor that I first read in Fantastic#5.
Fantastic was one of the first British comics to reprint American Marvel comics in black and white.

A Batman drawing I produced when I was 6 years old. Unfortunately it looks nothing like the Dick Sprang art I was trying to copy.
On the subject of Batman, here's a more recent drawing of Batman I drew at OK Comic's Christmas Drink 'n' Draw . Ok Comics hold Drink 'n' Draw once a month on a Tuesday night at The White Swan, behind the City Varieties in Leeds. They cover the tables with brown parcel wrapping paper and pens and everyone has a good time having a few beers and drawing whatever they want to. The brown paper is not compulsory, you can bring your own paper if you are so inclined.
Mission Hero was recently launched to inform today's youth of the bravery and sacrifice of the war heroes of WW2 using imagery with a nod to 70's and early 80's war comics such as Commando, Victor and Warlord.
Producing these drawings took me back to my childhood, as many a day drifted by reading such comics.
